The golf course reopened today as most of the snow has melted. With that said, the final day for this season will be Sunday, October 8. As we enter into the final days of golf, we first and foremost want to thank you for your business this season. We hope you have had an enjoyable summer.
The driving range will close for the season on Sunday, October 8, at 2pm. If you have clubs in storage please make arrangements to pick them up on or before Sunday.
There will no doubt be some great weather days once we close but it is imperative that we close so that maintenance can accomplish a number of projects. Projects the Golf Maintenance Department will be accomplishing over the next two weeks include:
· Greens aeration and heavy sand topdressing to protect the greens over the winter. The sooner the better so the greens can start to heal a bit before winter. More fairway aeration will also be completed.
· An application of snow mold control to all greens, tees, fairways and rough areas.
· Blow out of the Irrigation System. This project takes a week and is critical to protecting the irrigation system from broken pipes over the winter.
We hope to see you this week and once again we thank you for your business.
